The north west is set to be hit by another cold spell from this weekend into next week.
Cold northerly air coming in over the sea will bring sub-zero temperatures across the country leading to flurries in Sligo.
Temperatures are expected to drop to minus 4 in some areas, with icy patches and widespread frost.
