The permanent closure of the Strandhill People's Market has been described as "heartbreaking" by one of the traders.
The market announced the decision yesterday following the Hangar One at Sligo airport no longer being available, bringing an end to an 11 year venture.
Sligo Airport has maintained that its priority must remain to aviation.
