Stormont's Infrastructure Minister Liz Kimmins is appealing the decision of a Belfast court to overturn permission for Northern Ireland's biggest roads project.

The €1.3 billion euro upgrade to the A5 is an important link for the wider northwest including Donegal - and it's supported with €600 million euro of Irish Government money.

It affects a 55km section linking Strabane and Ballygawley.

SDLP West Tyrone MLA, Daniel McCrossan, says there were concerns about the environment and scheduling - but he says the project's vital to save lives.
