A new burial site for the community of Grange is a step closer.
It's after trial holes were dug on lands owned by Sligo County Council which indicated that the land is suitable for a burial ground.
A feasibility of providing access to the site is currently being examined.
Similar trials were carried on lands at Rosses point - these were deemed unsuitable however its understood that alternative sites are being examined in the Cregg area.
