Across Waterford city and county last night (Monday) people were treated to a spectacular Northern Lights display!
The powerful solar storm was sparked by a strong solar flare on Sunday.
Dr Brian O'Halloran is a former astrophysicist with the European Space Agency - and he lives in none other than Boatstrand, Co Waterford!
This morning (Tuesday) he came on 'Deise Today' to explain the beautiful phenomenon!
