It’s expected almost one million people in Ireland are affected by a  form of chronic illness. But when you search for it on social media – you’ll find people talking about how lonely it feels to have a chronic illness. 

 People are often dismissed by doctors for years, and are suffering in silence before they finally reach a diagnosis. James Greene is one of those people, he was finally diagnosed with a form of Inflammatory Bowel Disease in 2015 at the age of 17 after years of pain and he chats to Valerie Mc Hugh about it.
