Gerel was born in the village of Kumskoi in Chernozemel’sky rayon of Kalmykia. She has two older brothers. Today she lives and works in Moscow. She talks about her childhood, her grandmother, her grandfather’s cousin and Kalmyk weddings, including her own wedding and that of her brother.
