We live in a world that depends on connections—power, internet, devices—and we know how frustrating it is when those connections fail. Scripture points to an even deeper brokenness beneath our everyday frustrations: our broken connection with God. In John 1 verses 29–42, John the Baptist points to Jesus as the Lamb of God, and in 1 Corinthians 1 verses 1–9, the apostle Paul names what Jesus gives as a gift: koinonia—not casual fellowship, but a restored relationship with God. This Epiphany sermon invites us to discover who Jesus is and why he came: to mend what was broken, reconnect us with God, and form a new community shaped by grace, love, and shared life.
