0:00 The coaches curse, let me tell you about the coach's curse. Okay, this conversation came up the other day with a couple of clients, because something often happens, right? And I think all of us as coaches and let me know if this happens to you, I think all of us as coaches fall into this trap

0:32 I've seen as something that can destroy a lot of coaches. And I've seen a lot of coaches kind of bow out of coaching, because they just can't make things happen from a marketing standpoint. And there's something that happens across I think every single coach that the intention of me doing this episode right now is to help fix that is to help fix that.

2:26 And so when it comes to our marketing, it's easy to fall into a trap of feeling like we have to prove ourselves, like we have to prove ourselves through our content, like we have to prove that we are the expert. And so we'll start to put out, our best information will start to teach our best stuff, right putting out a lot of value thinking that's what's going to get people to watch our videos, or to consume our content. And then when we don't get any buddy watching or engaging with us, it starts to make us feel like we're not putting out stuff that's good enough, right? Maybe our stuff isn't good enough, maybe it's worthless, we start to feel rejected. And this is frickin deadly. This is dangerous.

4:04 They're looking for more connection and inspiration. And quite frankly, they need somebody to lead them into influence them. Because they're stuck right now. They're seeing things a certain way. Your job is to connect with them, to help inspire them. And then to help them see things a different way. The problem that they're in the mistakes that they're in to help them see those things a different way. And this a lot of this comes down to techniques around like yes, enticing your audience but helping to elicit emotion.

5:22 What we have to be able to do is we have to learn how to entice our audience, to want to watch us to want to click on our videos, and to actually watch us we want to learn how do we captivate to keep their attention? Like once we get them to click, we got to get them to stay. Right? And then lastly, how do we get them to pay? Right, we have to move them we have to influence them forward. Right? So if your engagement sound, this is how we started this video. It's probably because you're falling into that coach's curse.

9:49 And take the time you deserve this just like you if you're in the fitness space, you would teach a weight loss client to develop habits, right? They may be following different tasks. tastes like diets, different strategies, but it's up to you to take the time to learn the skills, because that's what will pay the bills. This is how I've grown my businesses and this is how you'll grow yours. Alright, that's all I got. Remember, your message matters now more than ever before, get out there and speak it.
