Derek Adams is the author of the book SPELL/SWORD. Last year, I did an interview with him on my MOVERS AND SHAKERS PROJECT podcast, and he'd only tinkered with the idea of the book.
It's a tale of fantasy, magic, and the friendship of two young people from different worlds. The pair are a boy and a girl. Each is possessed of a unique talent and potential which when combined with the other, yields a power that has only their imaginations as a ceiling.

Derek needs your help. While a purchase of the book would validate his work (including a year's worth of editing and re-drafting, which you'll hear about in the podcast), he truly needs your consideration. The source material for the book is ongoing, and he wants to create a SPELL/SWORD series.
Take a listen to the interview, and check out the book upon its' release. Mr. Adams is self-publishing, so it will be a direct process.
He is inspired by the stories and authors of our mutual youths, and you'll hear him discuss some of his favorites (as well as the damning excellence of a masterwork from over 50 years ago, which he's avoided).
