Description

What comes to mind when you think of self-care?  Maybe it's a shopping trip, a spa day, or a bubble bath.  And while none of these things are bad, this is somewhat of a distorted view of what self-care really looks like.

Self-care instead is taking care of our emotional, spiritual, and physical health, and making strides to become the best version of ourselves.  When we make these strides it doesn't take away from other relationships and areas in our lives, instead, it strengthens them because it gives us more to offer.

In today's episode, I sit down with Christy Primmer who is the TV Host of  "Women Who Lead",  an author and registered mental health counselor. Christy shares with us the importance of deciding, committing, and taking action and what that looks like on a day-to-day basis.

We also talk about the importance of taking baby steps.  We often think we have to dive headfirst into something, but in reality, just taking five minutes a day to start can vastly improve our self-care routine.  Christy also lays out three simple habits that will enrich our self-care, prioritize our own success, and accelerate our efforts to self-heal.
