As athletes we all have similar dreams coming up. We envisioned ourselves playing for our favorite professional or collegiate teams. Because we were so focused on our sport we didn't adequately prepare for the next chapter of life.
As we begin to navigate next steps we lose our "access card" in a sense. For so long we received special privileges because we were athletes. As we navigate new arenas we find ourselves in unfamiliar territory where people simply don't care about what we accomplished on the field or on the court.
