Before he died, Jesus warned his followers that trouble would come because of his name - that in this world they would encounter all sorts of opposition because of their faith in him. He prepared that first generation and every generation since, for a fight. This warning came with some truly unusual commands - all of which are captured in the single command: "love your enemies." It is clear that we are to fight in ways foreign to this world, but native to those who know what it is to be forgiven by Jesus, saved and set free to love.
