In this week's talk, Dr. Patrick focuses on Zen Buddhist practices from the books The Practicing Mind by Thomas M. Sterner and Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself by Dr. Joe Dispenza.
The four "S" words are: Simplify, Small, Short, and Slow.
Dr. Joe outlines the ideas that make up our personal realities: Thoughts, choices, behaviours, experiences, emotions, and then the same thoughts. This is a cycle that creates our personality and ultimately our personal reality. These are the things that fire and wire up in our brain. It's all based on choice---our chosen behaviours and what we choose to dwell upon.
Dr. Joe's recipe for a new personal reality is meditation, intention, sponsoring thoughts, creating a plan, recording our successes, and queuing our life.
