Genesis 1:1 – 2:4a describes the biblical account of creation. In six days, God creates the universe: light and darkness, sky and sea, land and vegetation, the sun, moon, and stars, birds and sea creatures, land animals, and finally, humans—male and female—in His image. On the seventh day, God rests, blessing and sanctifying it. This passage emphasizes God's power, order, and intentional design in creation.
