Genesis 2:4b – 3:8
God creates Adam and Eve and places them in the Garden of Eden, forbidding them to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. A serpent tempts Eve, she eats the fruit and gives some to Adam. Their eyes are opened, they realize they are naked, and hide from God in shame.
