In John 11:1–44, Jesus raises Lazarus from the dead. Though He arrives after Lazarus has been in the tomb four days, Jesus declares, "I am the resurrection and the life." He calls Lazarus out of the grave, and Lazarus comes back to life, showing Jesus' power over death.
