In this episode, host Caroline Schafer chats with Spouse-ly CEO & Founder Monica Fullerton. Born and raised in a small town in Ohio, Monica was inspired by her family of entrepreneurs. Not just her family but her husband’s family, who happened to be her middle school sweetheart. There was one common denominator she always saw in the entrepreneurs - passion.
After graduating high school, she moved to south Florida to chase her dreams of becoming the next Oprah. (A dream we both share.) She completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Multimedia Journalism Communication and a Master’s Degree in Business Specializing in Marketing in five years. She loved living in Florida and was going to stay there forever.
Monica and her current husband had stayed friends during college. He had gone to school in Denver, Colorado, and was commissioned to the Air Force after ROTC in college. But, feelings we still very much there, and the two married and have been together since.
During the transition as a military spouse, Monica found a job she loved, but once she had the twins (who are turning six soon), she knew she wanted to make some changes.
For Monica, Spouse-ly is more than just a place to shop. It provides flexibility and stability while living a life on the go.
