Ronald Reagan expected more from America, and he seemed to understand that the strength we would need to fight the tyranny of Communism, as well as the economic problems America faced going into the ‘80’s would require leadership. And that leadership required, not just action, but also speech.
Here, I read the inaugural address of President Ronald Reagan as he’s coming into office for the first time, and trying to rally a nation, not toward weakness and dependence on him and on the government, but toward the strength of each one of us standing and taking responsibility.
