Today we are talking about brokenness with our special guest William (Bill) Kenower author of the book Fearless Writing: How to Create Boldly and Write with Confidence.  Can people be broken?  How can we change our thinking?

DOC SHOCK

Alzheimer's Disease affects nearly six million people in the US.  This number is predicted to grow in the upcoming years, almost tripling by the year 2050.  The worst part is that we still really don't know how to fix it or the exact cause.  A new study out of Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health was published in the journal SLEEP.  They found that excessive sleepiness and napping during the day leads to a buildup of beta-amyloid plaques in the brain--a build up leads to Alzheimer's.  If the sleepiness is caused by disturbed sleep, then people may be able to be treated before too much plaque is built up.
