Love and Torah – what’s love got to do with it? This study series is based on the “Two Great Commands” – love Yahweh and love your neighbor.

During the weekend of Shavuot Rabbi Steve Berkson brings a prelude to the Love and Torah teaching about what Shavuot means in your life – a dedication of your life to living in the belief of who and what Messiah Yeshua really is and becoming like Him.

Then, going to 2 John, Rabbi Berkson breaks down the first few verses as John is writing to a family that he may be discipling. The elder reminds them of the important commandment to walk in love in the way the Father desires us all to walk.

In verse 7 John warns about associating with certain people that could derail the faith of this family. Among this warning John uses the term “anti-Messiah”. Rabbi Berkson explains this term in understandable detail.

What does it mean to “possess both the Father and the Son”? (2 John 9)

From there Rabbi Berkson moves us to Romans 12 and unpacks the intent of the writer as we read about presenting ourselves as a sacrifice and offering, not conforming to the “mindset of” the world and knowing what is the perfect desire and will of the Father.

Rabbi Berkson once again dissects the words in these passages so that you will have a deeper understanding of what Yah expects of you, so that you can do it and receive the blessings.
