Description

It is no secret that the world is comprised of a vast variety of cultures, each with their own unique set of attributes. Originally from Cameroon, Africa now residing in Vancouver, Canada, Jacky Yenga has experienced this fact first hand. When Jacky became a bit more familiar with Canada, she began to realize that in all the abundance it had to give to it’s people, there seemed to be a missing sense of community that she had been accustomed to in her village in Africa. It is this need that then sparked her new mission - to bring the spirit of the village to the women she encountered in the west.

Jacky knew she did not want to change the different cultures she encountered but rather bring a variety of different elements from her own to incorporate. Her career path has led her to writing and publishing a book, delivering a TEDx talk, creating retreats and much more all centered around bringing the spirit of the village to the women she reaches. I had the pleasure of having Jacky speak at my Magnificent You Women’s Conference last year in Vancouver, Canada. She made us dance, laugh, and most importantly share in a bond. I thought it was truly amazing and I had many of my guests coming to me afterwards exclaiming the same thing.

In this day and age, we are so focused on getting ahead and succeeding at our own goals that we sometimes forget that in the long run, we need to also succeed at our relationships. After all, all the success in the world means nothing if you do not have anyone to share it with it right? Check out Jacky’s episode and her talks and retreats - I promise you will not regret it.
