Moses was governing the Israelites, but it was too much for one person to handle. Jethro, Moses’ father-in-law recommended that he appoint judges amongst the people to help govern them. Later in the New Testament, Luke refers to the early church as the “Body of Christ” … there’s a theme here. In today’s message with Pastor Terry, we are reminded that God never intended for the church to be run solely by one or two people. It’s a team effort and when people of different backgrounds, experiences and talents come to together, working to glorify Christ, it can be a really beautiful outcome.
