In every war, there are battles that may be won or lost. In the case of the spiritual war that’s taking place all around us, this is just as true. As Pastor Terry points out in today’s message, when Jesus died on the cross, it appeared to be a victory for Satan. He had killed the Son of God. Jesus was supposed to save mankind, but instead, He died a criminal’s death. As we know, our Savior had a plan. He would not be held down by death. He bore our sin on the cross and then rose again in a display of power over the enemy.
