Some people’s understanding of the Holy Spirit demotes Him to a kind of spiritual shock collar – there to simply convict you when you’ve messed up again. That’s a sad misunderstanding of who God is and the relationship He wants to have with you. As Pastor Terry will teach us in today’s message, the Holy Spirit is a permanent resident of the heart of every believer. He is there to guide you, comfort you, and draw you into intimate communion. He will let you know when you’ve fallen short – not to make you feel guilty – but to guide you into a life of freedom and wholeness in Him.
