When Jesus lifted up His eyes to His Father to pray one last time before going to the cross, He prayed fervently for the unity of His people. In today’s message from John chapter 17, Pastor Terry points out that when Christ prayed for unity, He was not asking for God to make all His people the same. In fact, God Himself created the diversity of mankind. Instead, Jesus’s heart was to make the Body of Christ unified by love as Christ Himself was united to His Father by love. When Christians are united in singular purpose to advance the Kingdom of Light on earth, Jesus’s Bride is an unstoppable force for good.
