Today Pastor Terry teaches that this Psalm is a responsive reading. The leader or pastor would read the text and the church would repeat. This particular one is about the love of God. We get a good reminder that God loves us. No matter what we do, His love never changes. He is kind, merciful father and His love endures forever. We should thank Him for who He is. We should be forever grateful. God can choose to do whatever He wants and yet He chooses to love us. Out of His love sometimes He disciplines us, but He always has our best interest in mind. Just like any loving Father would do. He knows best.
