Freedom in Christ doesn’t mean you can just do whatever you want. Sin, at its core, is selfishness. When you live in bondage to it, you serve yourself, first and foremost. To some, that may sound attractive – but when you live that way, you know how burdensome and empty it really is. It’s oppressive. As Pastor Terry will point out in today’s message when Christ frees you from that oppression, you no longer need the law to tell you how to live – He’ll fill your heart with the desire to love and serve others.
