Parables were a way to relate a doctrine or truth to people so they could clearly understand it. However, that doesn't necessarily mean easy. Jesus spoke to people in parables to teach in a way that anyone can understand, but that required time spent thinking and praying about those things in order to comprehend. As Pastor Terry will explain today, you'll understand parables if you're serious about your faith, but they go in one ear and out the other if you’re unwilling to grow in Christ.
