There are a couple of different approaches to how a church service should operate. The attractional church model is the idea that if an aesthetically pleasing service is presented it will “attract” nonbelievers and they will be drawn into God's kingdom. And then there's the idea that Pastor Terry just shared. The purpose of the church gathering is for the equipping of the saints TO DO the work of the ministry. So, when we go to church, we are equipped to then go out into the world and evangelize.
