In ancient times, Gods people would cast lots to determine Gods will. Now that Christ has ascended to Heaven, and the Holy Spirit has come upon us, that is not an appropriate way to find out what God has in mind for us. Finishing his sermon on Acts 1, Pastor Terry tells us of when the Apostles cast lots to see who among them would take the place of Judas. He then tells us that this was the last time you would see them do such a thing. Not to long after that the Holy Spirit came upon them and since then the Holy Spirit has remained with Gods people.
