After Pauls visit to Heaven, he came back with a great affliction of pain. Though scholars aren’t sure of what Pauls affliction was, they are sure that for the rest of his life, he struggled with a physical disability. A pain he could not escape. Pastor Terry explains to us, that this affliction forced Paul to be humble, and forced him to put his dependence in Christ. Through this lesson, we find that we too, must put our burdens on Christ. Whether Christ allows the affliction to stay with us indefinitely, or he takes it away. Know that he intends a greater good for you.
