f we’re operating out of guilt, it’s because we’re hanging on to sin. The Lord has blotted the believer’s sin by nailing it to the cross of Christ. The cleansing work of God is meant to help us move forward and follow Him. Even past victories can hinder us from making progress with Christ. The work of the Christian is to repent and believe on the Lord JESUS Christ. To trust in Him and Him alone for the imputed righteousness we must have in the sight of the Lord. A healthy dissatisfaction of where we are while keeping our eyes on Christ will keep us going in a growth mentality.
