Pastor Terry shares the story of Ishmael in today’s message. He tells us that according to God’s plan, Isaac would carry the line of Abraham. The pain that Abraham, Sarah and Hagar experienced was a self-inflicted pain. They did not seek God’s will, and they took matters into their own hands. We will learn that we need to be patient and wait for God to answer. His plan is so much better than what we could imagine. We are called to make wise choices, and when we choose wisely, we will reap the blessings. God will not let us get away with our sin. He loves us too much.
