Don’t cross your fingers when making a promise! Pastor Terry teaches today that God takes all promises very seriously, there’s no such thing as a promise that is meant to be broken. If you give someone your word that you will do something, you’d better do it as an example of your devotion and love for God. The Jewish people in Jesus’ time had developed an entire system of which promises were stronger than others, but Jesus showed them, and shows us today, how that system misses the point.
