If we are thinking about heaven in a biblical way, it will change our lives here and make us more useful to God and those around us. If we are preoccupied with some fantasy of our own making, then of course it will cause our lives to be useless. As Pastor Terry will point out in today's study, the fact that heaven has been given to us by God should motivate us to serve Him more fervently here. Not so that we might earn it, Christ has already done that for us. But so that we might be inspired to live productive and gracious lives for One Who has prepared such a wondrous future for those who believe.
