When we take our eyes off Christ, we start to get distracted by things in this world. It’s easy to be swayed by immediate satisfaction but God has instructed us otherwise. Growing up in the palace, he had access to all the worldly pleasures available to him, but he chose to live with the Hebrews instead. He chose a life of hardship so that he could align himself with God’s will. As you seek the Lord’s will for your life, remember that God’s plan is always better than anything you can ever imagine on your own.
