When God created man and woman in the Garden of Eden, He gave them one prohibition: do not eat from the Tree of Good and Evil. But this begs the question, why would God make that tree in the first place? Today, Pastor Terry offers an answer to this question. He insists that God gave humans a choice to love from the beginning. He wanted to be in a loving relationship with humans, but to love requires the ability to choose. Adam and Eve had the choice of lovingly obeying God or rebelling against Him.
