It’s all a matter of intentionality…what’s going on behind the scenes. The religious leaders were posing a question to Jesus. And whatever answer He gave, it was intended to be unbelievable to the ears of the Jewish population and the religious elite alike. They were trying to trick Jesus. As we learn in Pastor Terry’s message they played a classic flattery card to try to throw Jesus off His game. Do you know what was in question? Taxes. To pay or not to pay. Friends, Jesus can’t be fooled.
