Ruth and Naomi returned to Bethlehem empty and desperate. Both were widows and without provision and neither woman had much hope. But instead of waiting for rescue or good fortune to come to them, Ruth proactively decided to act. She took great initiative and went to work. Today, Pastor Terry will remind you that there is no shame to admitting need and working hard to fill it. God orchestrated the details, but Ruth was diligent and hardworking, obediently doing her part. So, if you’re facing tragedy or difficulty, don’t just sit and wait for God to give you things. Get up and work hard, demonstrating to God just how important your needs are.
