Have you ever heard someone described as being “a self-made man”? We praise someone who rises to a position of influence and power seemingly by their own will and tenacity. Being able to make things happen is worn as a badge of honor. But as Pastor Terry teaches today, no one is truly a self-made man. Every ruler who has ever been in power and any person who has been placed in a position of authority is there because God is in charge and is allowing it to happen. May you find comfort in this truth.
