Scripture teaches us that God counted Abraham as righteous because he believed in God. Pastor Terry shows us today that God’s covenant with Abraham was not dependent on what Abraham did – God took full ownership of the covenant. But in response, Abraham believed God, and because of this, God attributed righteousness to him. Pastor Terry relates this to us under the New Covenant of Christ: God already paid the price of the covenant, and our responsibility is not to earn salvation but to trust God.
