When Christians try to live by their own strength, they cannot walk in the power of the Spirit. As we continue in this lesson with Pastor Terry, we can consider the course of our own lives as we consider the lives of Abram and Sarai in context. It’s never God’s will, even though we may be acting with the best intentions, to make decisions apart from His leading. Even the church can subvert God’s best by trying to serve Him on their own. Whenever there is a lack of God’s clear leading in the lives of His people, there will be strife, contention, and division in the body of Christ.
