Today, Pastor Terry continues to tell us of Peter's sermon. This was the first sermon in the history of the Christian Church. In examining Peter's sermon, we find that it was scripture based. This is an important thing to note, because it establishes that we must test all ideas against scripture. Peter, in his sermon, told how the prophets of old had prophesized of Jesus. Referencing scripture he laid out why Jesus was the savior, that the Jewish people had been waiting for. Today still, the scripture serves as our test for truth. All ideology must match with the word of God.
