The Lord asked Abraham to do the unthinkable, the unimaginable. He asked Him to offer his only son as a sacrifice to Himself. This was the miracle child who fulfilled God’s promise to bring Abraham's descendants. God told him to give his son’s life to Him. This was a test of Abraham’s faith in God. As Pastor Terry points out today, Abraham knew that somehow God would provide. He did not waver in arguments, laments, or delays. Abraham immediately obeyed God and walked forward in complete faith and trust.
