Like a husband who misunderstands scripture and demands his wife serve his every whim, so are the parents who live ungodly, careless lives and demand their children respect them. Children, just like anyone else, must see something in their parents that they can respect. In today's study, Pastor Terry encourages parents to live their lives in such a way that their children will have no valid excuses to dishonor them. By modeling biblical righteousness, integrity and joy, parents will create for themselves a reputation in their children's eyes, that will establish lasting respect.
