Material wealth can never take the place of a genuine relationship with God. Because the church of Laodicea relied on riches rather than a relationship with the Holy Spirit, they forgot about JESUS. As Pastor Terry explains, the Lord is interested in restoration and will send a rebuke to draw us back into communion with Him. So in today’s teaching, we’ll hear JESUS warning to repent of materialism and return to Him. He promises to restore fellowship with us if we repent and return. By keeping our relationship with JESUS real, He will be at the center of our church.
