Do we deserve the redemption of Christ? According to Pastor Terry’s message, redemption means to buy out, buy off, or buy up. In all of these scenarios, Christ is freeing us from the punishment we deserve as sinful people. Without Christ’s birth and subsequent death, we would not receive the gift of redemption which is the mission of Christmas itself. It is a gift that cannot be earned, but is given to us all the same by a generous and loving God. We simply need to reach out and take this gift for our lives to be transformed.
