Some people will do anything for money, even unethical, illegal, or harmful things. This is the case with Balaam, a false prophet hired by Balak, king of Moab. As Pastor Terry explains in today’s teaching, Balak was afraid that the Israelites would come and wipe Moab out, so he hired Balaam, a false prophet known for really being able to curse others. Pastor Terry teaches that even though God spoke to Balaam and told him that the Israelites were protected and couldn’t be cursed, Balaam was more interested in the paycheck and went with Balak anyway.
