Satan needed permission from God to bring trials and hardships into Jobs's life. Satan is on a short leash, and isn't allowed to do whatever he wants! God ultimately brings a greater good out of anything the enemy intends for evil. Whenever a child of God goes through any form of suffering, God is still there, and He's about to bring about an even greater good in the end.
